SENAPATI: The Tungjoy team bagged the championship title at the recently concluded 40th PNTMP tournament at Khumai (Paomata) village. The final match was played between the Tungjoy and Tunggam teams on Wednesday.
The Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me, Paomata (PNTMP) successfully conducted the 75th Platinum Jubilee cum 40th Sports Meet from December 8-18 2025 at Khumai (Tunggam) Village. The event marked a historic milestone and celebrated unity, sportsmanship, and youth empowerment across Paomata villages.
The valedictory function was graced by Boveio Poukai Duo, Caretaker CAO, Shepoumaramth Region, GPRN and former General Secretary, NSF as the honoured guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker CAO lauded the student body for sustaining upto 75 years by celebrating its Platinum Jubilee. The Caretaker CAO gave his credit to the founders of the union who established with a vision, adding the student body could sustain thus far through the dedication and sacrifice of the former founding leaders.
Mentioning the need to give more concerns in studies, Boveio Poukai Duo stated that education should be the top priority for every parent in order to see a changed society. He said that in earlier days, parents were happy if they had 4-5 children who were thought to be helpful in agricultural works with the parents.
Talking about the national service, the caretaker CAO stated that the region is not lagging behind others with different personalities who had sacrificed their lives for the Naga nation. He mentioned that the ancient leaders of the area were bold enough to fight back for their lives and their rights who also urged to inherit their ideology for the next generations too. The honoured guest urged the present youth to be stronger in order to make one economically self-reliant by taking up different works in their own capacities.
The organizing committee extended their sincere appreciation to all athletes, officials, volunteers, donors, and supporters for making the historic Jubilee and Sports Meet a grand success.
Different games including football, volleyball for both genders, basketball for both genders and other individual games were played during the tournament.
