Imphal: Toijam Debananda Singh, president of Shiv Sena (UBT), a constituent of the INDIA bloc, today lodged a complaint with the chief electoral officer (CEO) Manipur regarding a recent threat meted out to him and his family by some unknown masked persons who visited his house at Kiyamgei in Imphal East district.
In the complaint, Debananda alleged that the unknown masked persons who came to his house in three numberless vehicles on April 12, around 11.05 am were armed with sophisticated weapons.

At that time, he was not at home and when his family members informed him about it, they broke some signboards and banners in his office.
“Since I work for Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam as a constituent of the INDIA bloc, Manipur, they seem to target me. And if I continue with my work, the consequences would be solely upon me,” he stated in the complaint.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) president urged CEO Manipur to look into the matter since it cannot be taken lightly in view of the severity of the situation. He also forwarded a copy of his complaint to the director general of the Manipur police.
