Kohima: Two day long “Leadership Meet 2021” of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Youth Wing began on Thursday at State Academy Hall under the theme, “NPF-Catalyst for Peace”.
Guest speaker L Dikho, NPF legislator and minister for PHED and printing & stationery (Manipur State) appreciated the NPF Youth Wing for initiating the 1st meet programme which is most needed at this juncture for the youth to come together and share the common goal of NPF.
Minister Dikho said the upcoming Manipur election is going to be a very tough one. People have recognised NPF party and it has proven its vision and objective in Manipur. People have come to appreciate the party. NPF has a different vision with a peculiar character which is very different from the other political parties. “We are committed to our vision, because of Naga issues, rights of the Nagas and also tribals,” he added.
Most importantly we want to live with all the communities in our states wherever we are. We want to live together in peace. People are realising that NPF is a good party, that it is a peace loving party and the people have recognised us, he maintained.
Dikho said, “NPF role in Manipur is very difficult one, however we could restore peace in Manipur between the communities. Today even other community Meiteis, the most advance and majority people in Manipur appreciate us”.
Mentioning that in the upcoming 2022 election, other community like Kuki also expressed interest to join and contest election from NPF ticket, minister Dikho called upon the youth to be very precise with the vision and commitment and march ahead for the future.
The day one evening session witnessed motivational speeches from Er. Loguseng Semp, general secretary COB/COB i/c CYW, Achumbemo Kikon, secretary general, NPF and Y.M. Yollow, MLA, Nagaland.
The programme was chaired by Supoyi Vezhu, working president. While S. Akho Leyri, general secretary CB invoked God’s blessing for the session. Welcome address was delivered by S. Medom, working president CYW.
Enchanting words by Bonn Dilbung, president MSU Youth Wing. While special greetings were delivered by NPF legal cell and women wing. A special song was presented by the youth wing of Kohima division and Krosu & Dzuveto.
The leadership summit is attended by the NPF youth wing all over the 14 divisional units of Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur State unit.
The second day session on November 19 will begin at 10 am with the special guest Kuzholuzo Nienu (MLA) and in-charge NPF Central Youth Wing and theme speaker Dr. Lorho S Pfoze Member of Parliamentary (Lok Sabha) from Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.
