Assam Police on Tuesday took to twitter about an exchange of fire with an insurgent group United People’s Revolutionary Front (UPRF), in Manja PS area of Karbi Anglong on Monday late evening.
GP Singh, ADGP (Law & Order), Assam Police made the announcement on twitter that “Martin Guite, SS Chairman of UPRF, an insurgent group active in Karbi Anglong, was wounded and and later declared dead in the exchange of fire” with the Assam police.
