Ukhrul: The Wung Theological College (WTC) said it marked a historic occasion as it celebrated its first graduation ceremony for Pastors’ Refresher Course for Class of 2019-2023.
The ceremony was held on March 17, 2023, at the Dr. Earl E. Brock Training Centre, TBCA, Mission Compound, Ukhrul.
WTC said that a total of 51 students who are officially the first graduates and alumni of the college are mostly pastors. They graduated from the course which covered counselling, mission, homiletics, and church administration.

According to the college, the graduation certificates were presented by Rev. Dr. Mathotmi Vasha, executive secretary, TBCA while the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. Aping Khamrang, president, TBCA. The graduation speaker, Rev. Dr. YL. Mingthing, chairman/chairperson of WTC Board of Governors, encouraged the graduates and stressed the need for and importance of continuous learning in ministry. Rev. Dr. KeweraloLohe, a PRC faculty member, shared a message from Philippians 1:9-11 emphasizing the importance of theological education in transforming both the heart and mind. Rev. AleangKashew, pastor of Chamu Baptist Church, one of the graduating students, also shared his experience of attending the course.

It also informed that in addition to the PRC program, the college will begin the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) and Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degrees from July 2023. Applications for admission to these courses are currently open until May 2023.
Wung Theological College furthermore said that it is committed to providing quality theological education to equip pastors and church leaders with the skills and knowledge required to serve their communities effectively.
It said that, the inaugural graduation ceremony is a testament to the college’s dedication to this mission.
