In another major contribution of Manipur in the field of sports, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has selected 10 state women to attend the final preparation of senior women’s national coaching camp.
The coaching camp is all set to be held at Jamshedpur from August 16 to September 6 for the forthcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022.
The 10 women players selected in the national football team, all from Imphal are Maibam Lingthoingambi Devi, Ngangbam Sweety Devi, Sorokhaibam Ranjana Devi, Wangkhem Lingthoingambi Devi, Kritina Devi Thounaojam, Asem Roja Devi, Hemam Shilky Devi, Martina Thokchom, Dangmei Grace and Heigrujam Daya Devi.
Manipur Chief Minister congratulated the Manipuri players over twitter and said it is a “proud moment for our girls as AIFF has included 10 Manipuri players in the final list for the Senior Women’s National Coaching Camp to be held at Jamshedpur from August 16 in preparation for the forthcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022. My best wishes to all the participants.”
