11-year-old Thanzat Raingam, co-authored by Ranmung Raingam have released a new book, “The Universe and Our Destiny” at Guwahati on August 27, Friday.

The book was released by Ms Utpalparna Hazarika (IRTS), Principal Chief Operations Manager, NF Railway at Guwahati’s Luit Garh Railway Officers Club, Maligaon.

The authors have dedicated the book to mankind: the past, the present and the deep future. A non-fiction genre, the book is written in the perspective of an 11-year-old boy covering the timeline from the Big Bang to the origin and evolution of life on earth; progress of human civilisation and the end of the universe.

The authors says that the book in many ways is based on the scientific knowledge and historical facts and records available in public domain.

The Universe and Our Destiny explores the possible idea of evolving into higher civilizations and achievement of formlessness to escape the perpetual worry over the impending doom of human race brought about by possible cataclysmic end of the physical universe in the deep future. Some portions are speculative in nature but are based on scientific and historical premises.

Adding that the non-fiction book carries important facts and information, the authors says, the book is suitable for school and college going students and also for a family.

It may be helpful for competitive exams as it offers structural perspectives on important subjects in a concise manner. Overall, it is expected to promote scientific temper and inquisitive thinking among the children.
