113 active COVID-19 cases now in Manipur

With COVID-19 situation further improved in Manipur as the state has only 113 active cases now with a recovery rate of 98.33%.

According to the daily status update report of the state Health department, 13 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, taking the total infection tally to 29,099.

Discharge of 11 patients after they recovered from the viral infection, the recovered tally also rose to 28,614 and the active case further declined to 113. The recovery rate stood at 98.33%.

As there was no report of death due to COVID-19 illness, the casualty tally remained at 372.

Of the 13 fresh positive cases reported during the past 24 hours (till 4pm of February 4), five were from Churachandpur district, three from Thoubal district while the rest were one each from Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching and Senapati district.

On the other hand, 223 healthcare workers were inoculated on Thursday, taking the number of persons who far vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine to 6,095.

This is 57.54% of the total 7,310 beneficiaries targeted in the first phase. Healthcare workers were the beneficiaries of the first phase of the vaccination drive in the state which commenced on January 16 last.
