Kangpokpi, September 25: A large-scale cleanliness drive, Swachhotsav, was organised on September 25, 2025, in the District Hospital area, Kangpokpi, under the banner of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025. The initiative was led by the 112 Bn CRPF, Kangpokpi, with the aim of creating mass awareness on cleanliness and hygiene.
Around 100 participants took part in the programme, including hospital staff, students of Good Shepherd School, civil police, and officers and jawans of the 112 Bn CRPF Kangpokpi, Manipur. The drive was carried out to promote hygiene and environmental awareness among the local population.

The organisers highlighted that the effort was not limited to removing waste but also focused on cleansing habits, reshaping mindsets, and restoring dignity in daily life. The drive covered garbage dumps, back lanes, bus stations, riverbanks, and degraded lands, spaces that most visibly affect urban living conditions.
Emphasising the broader goal of the initiative, officials stated that Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, under the theme Swachhotsav, aims to steer India towards a sustainable, inclusive, and developed Bharat by 2047.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, hospital staff, and police personnel, reflecting strong community support for promoting cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
