UKHRUL: Delhi witnessed yet another alleged case of racial harassment involving two individuals from the Northeast near the Saket District Court Complex on Sunday. All four accused are juveniles, said Deputy Commissioner of Police South Delhi in a post on X.

A woman from Manipur and a transgender person from Assam were reportedly taking a walk in a park in Saket when a group of men allegedly passed derogatory remarks at them. When the woman objected to the comments, the situation reportedly escalated. The victims alleged that the group physically assaulted them, punching and striking them with belts while hurling abusive slurs and other derogatory terms during the altercation.

According to the victims, such remarks had been directed at them on previous occasions as well. However, the latest confrontation escalated into a physical attack. The incident comes in the wake of another recent case of racial abuse in the capital that sparked widespread outrage and led to the arrest of a Delhi-based couple.
