12 fresh cases of COVID-19 recorded in Manipur on Friday

Manipur recorded 12 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, of which two are air passengers. This update took the overall caseload 29,475 in the state. Among the fresh cases of the disease, seven are from Imphal West district while the remaining were one each from Imphal East, Bishnupur and Senapati districts.

The overall caseload included 29,009 recoveries, adding eight who were discharged today upon recovering from the viral disease in the past 24 hours.

The active cases rose to 91 and the recovery rate declined to 98.41%.

There was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the state remained at 375, the daily update report of the state Health department stated.

Meanwhile, the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state rose to 91,272 with 722 more vaccinated on Thursday. The vaccine recipients included 31,904 healthcare workers, the Health department said.
