13th Naga Student Union Mumbai Literary and Cultural Meet held in Mumbai University

Mumbai, April 17: The 13th annual Naga Student Union Literary and Cultural Meet was held at Mumbai University, radiating the theme “Ideate, Create and Innovate” to celebrate Naga heritage and intellect.

The inaugural session graced by guests including Dr. Johnson Chithung, Dr. Rocky Raile, and Jenithung, commenced with an invocation by Pastor James Lana and a welcome address by A. Asani Florence, Cultural & Literary Secretary. Dr. Chithung’s insightful discourse on Naga evolution in the modern world set the tone for the day’s events.

The competition arena witnessed a battle of words and music, featuring duet and group singing, debates, and extempore speeches. The South Bombay team shone in Duet Singing and Extempore Speech, while the North Mumbai team dominated the initial Debate round. The intense final Debate round crowned the Kalina team as champions, with the North Mumbai team claiming the overall title.

The event’s second session, hosted by Tiapong Tzudir, showcased captivating performances by renowned and local artists, enchanting the audience till the night’s end.

Rinthem Mahung, President of NSUM, expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters, emphasizing the event’s role in fostering unity and creativity among Naga students and the community.

The 13th NSUM Literary and Cultural Meet 2024 served as a proof to the vibrancy and creativity of Naga students and people, fostering unity and camaraderie among participants and the crowds. With its blend of intellectual discourse and artistic expression, the event left an indelible mark on all who attended.
