14 Apex Tribal Hohos of Nagaland Reaffirm Naga Solution; Discredits Naga Hoho

14 apex Tribal Hohos of Nagaland in an emergency meeting at Commissioner Guest House, Kohima on Saturday unanimously resolved to reaffirm all its previous stands in matter of Naga Soloution, a press release issued on Sunday has said. It also stated it stand united for the larger interests of the Nagas for early solution.

The release while appealing to all the negotiating parties, categorically stated that any part of agreement that is to be implemented in Nagaland should be made known to the Tribal Hohos of the state before final solution is signed.

Expressing appreciation towards the interlocutor of government of India, A K Mishra for showing utmost urgency in the peace process with an effort to bringing the political talks to a logical conclusion, the 14 apex Tribal Hohos urged all negotiating entities to wrap up the process of signing an agreement without further delay.

“The House has also deliberately discussed and resolved that any threat or intimidation to the Tribal Hoho leaders and other Naga Civil Society leaders by an group will not be tolerate and as such shall be confronted publicly by all Tribes,” the release maintained.

A resolution adopted by the House in the meeting has stated that Naga Hoho should not be taken into consideration or treated as the voice of the Nagas of Nagaland. Pointing out that not a single Naga Tribe of Nagaland is a part or affiliated to Naga Hoho, adding, “Anything that the is for the Nagas of Nagaland will be determined only by the Tribal Hohos of Nagaland.”
