14th Manipur State League 2021 to kick off on March 18 : Ganggam SC vs KIYC to play the opening match

The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) is all set to kick start the 14th Manipur State League 2021 from March 18 with live telecast put in place and clubs classified into two groups, a press release by Seiminlun Kipgen said.

After a stressful pandemic, football started to show light in Manipur and the highly anticipated 14th edition of Manipur State League 2021 is on the card as the league is scheduled to kick-start from 18th March, 2021 at either Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Artificial Turf Ground, Takyel, Imphal or Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong, Imphal under the aegis of the All Manipur Football Association.

The League of this season will be of historic one as live telecast will be put in place to widen the league as well as to promote players.

The League will see participation of 17 clubs with KIYC of Kshetri and Manipur Police Sports Club the new arrivals. Top four teams of each group will undergo series of play-offs to move further to the final while opening league match will be played between newly promoted KIYC,Kshetri and Ganggam Soccer Club of Churachandpur.

Clubs are classified into two groups as under :

Group A

  1. DM Rao, Sekmai, Imphal West.
  2. Ganggam SC, Churachandpur.
  3. SSU, Singjamei, Imphal West.
  4. Yarkhok United FC, Ukhrul.
  5. TRAU, Kwakeithel, Imphal West.
  6. Sagolband United, Imphal West.
  7. KLASA, Keinou, Bishnupur.
  8. NEROCA, Sangakpham, Imphal East.
  9. KIYC, Kshetri.

Group B

  1. Manipur Police SC, Imphal West.
  2. NISA, Thangmeiband, Imphal West.
  3. Muvanlai Athletics, Sadar Hills.
  4. AIM, Khabam Lamkhai, Imphal East.
  5. YPHU, Lallambung, Imphal West.
  6. NACO, Nambul Mapal.
  7. AFC, Thoubal.
  8. United Khawzim Brothers, Churachandpur.
