Senapati: The Manipur State Govt celebrated its 1st Anniversary of Biren led Govt 2.0 at Mini Stadium Ground, Senapati on Thursday. Chief Minister N. Biren Singh graced the occasion as the chief guest in the presence of all his council of ministers and other members of Legislative Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, Manipur chief minister stated that the long cherished dream of the people for construction of sports complex has been fulfilled on the day with inauguration of the Astro Turf Football ground at Senapati Public Ground. The chief minister stated to make Senapati become the second Sports City in the state next to Khuman Lampak in Imphal. Biren Singh also mentioned to improve in the health sector at Senapati with construction of Critical Care Block within the campus of District Hospital, Senapati for an amount of 28 crore project, 10 ICU beds and posting of specialists doctors at the District Hospital, Senapati.

Different road construction underway within Senapati district including Maram-Peren Road, Tadubi-Ukhrul Road, Ukhrul-Jessami Road, Ukhrul-Tolloi road, Mao-Imphal road and PMJVK project in Senapati under Minority Affairs. The amount project inaugurated only for Senapati included around 100 crores. The total projects inaugurated on the day included 96 projects for an amount of 224 crores and foundation stones laid include 17 projects for 76 crores. With much concern for development in the North eastern states under the leadership of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister, such development could arrive in the state. “The coming of BJP led Govt in the state has delivered much change and peace in the state, hadding no blockade in the present Govt and the gap between the valley and hills have been bridged,” he said.
The happiest thing in the central govt is that Manipur state is in peace and going forward with development. The state Govt is stated to provide a livelihood scheme to one family member of every household by providing loan upto 10 lakhs to establish business of their own with 30% to give as grant in aid. The chief minister then sought the cooperation of all to lend support to the Govt to achieve the plans in future.
Different ministers of the state consisting of Minister Awangbow Newmai, Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Minister Th. Biswajit Singh, Minister Khemchand Singh and Hill Area Committee Chairman spoke during the program. MLA L. Dikho welcomed the gathering at the beginning of the program and MLA Kumo Sha delivered the vote of thanks.
A short cabinet meeting was held at DC office complex, Senapati where some important decisions were reportedly taken as soon as they arrived. Tree plantation was taken up before the program at the side of the ground. During the celebration, 96 projects were inaugurated and foundation stones for 17 projects were laid for the whole Manipur state.

5 senior most citizens consisting of one each from Mao, Maram, Poumai, Thangal and Zeliangrong were felicitated by the chief minister. 38 church leaders irrespective of different denominations within the district headquarters were also felicitated.
A booklet entitled “Emerging Manipur” giving a brief account of various initiatives and achievements of Govt of Manipur (2022-23) was released and a short film on achievement of 1st year of state Govt was shown. A short film on “War on Drugs 2.0 was also shown during the program. Friendly Football match between CM’s 11 and Senapati 11 was also played in the later part of the program. The first goal was scored by CM Biren Singh who was the team captain of CM’s 11. The match ended with 2-2 draw at the end of full time.
