Imphal: Manipur’s Council of Higher Secondary Education (COHSEM) declared the Class 12 results on Monday.

A total of 36,212 students appeared for the examinations this year, of which 32,111 students passed the exam reaching 88.68 per cent. The pass percentage for government schools is 84.34, against 90.9 per cent for private schools.

Arts: In Arts stream, Pushpa Naorem of TG Higher Secondary School topped the first position with letter marks in 6 subjects; Chungkham Damayanti Devi of EK Higher Secondary School came second, while Tulshipriya Athokpa of TG Higher Secondary School bagged 3rd position.

Commerce: In Commerce stream, TG Higher Secondary School’s, Rajbrinda Naorem bagged the top position, securing letter marks in 6 subjects, while Einstein Ningombam of SDJM Higher Secondary School, and Waribam Debraj Singh of Sangai Higher Secondary School came 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Science: In Science stream, Ria Thokchom of Heritage Convent topped by scoring letter marks in 6 subjects, while Kelina Chungkham of Comet School and Lincoln Leisem Potsangbam of Extra Edge School came 2nd and 3rd respectively.  

This year’s Class 12 board examination began on February 23 and concluded on April 1, 2023.
