25 Armed Cadres of NRFM join UNLF (P)

Imphal: 25 cadres of proscribed National Revolution Front Manipur have reportedly joined United National Liberation Front, UNLF led by Pambei along with their weapons. It may be mentioned that UNLF led by Pambei signed a peace agreement with the Government of India in New Delhi on November 29.

Sources said, a formal reception was held for the NRFM cadres at 1st Brigade General Head Quarter of Pambei-led UNLF located at Ingourok in Thoubal District on Monday. The NRFM cadres including their Major Boicha, 2nd Lieutenant Bungcha, Sergeant Major Nongsaba and Captain Yuremba were accorded a warm welcome in the ceremony attended by Pambei-led UNLF Chief of Army Staff-in-Charge Thokchom Sidaba, Finance Secretary Tonsana and Organisation Secretary Nongdol.

Chief of Army Staff In-Charge of Pambei-led UNLF Thokchom Sidaba reportedly welcomed the NRFM cadres for trusting the outfit’s recent move towards Manipur’s Sovereignty. He urged other groups who also believe in their ideology to join hands in the revolutionary movement.
