Ukhrul: The 2nd Batch of Training on Cane & Bamboo Handicraft and Furniture Making concluded on Wednesday at Cane & Bamboo Training Cum Production Centre, Hungpung, Ukhrul, Manipur.

The training was organised by North East Cane & Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC), under North Eastren Council, Ministry of DoNER, Government of India and Volunteers for Village Development (VVD).

The organiser said that Samananda and Narayana Paul from NECBDC facilitated the training session.

The training lasted for almost a month from September 28 to October 26. All together 16 trainees participated in the 29-days training. All 16 trainees were given completion certificate.

According to manager, Administration VVD, Ukhrul, it is told that many more similar training will be conducted shortly in collaboration with NECBDC.
