5 residents declared containment zone in Ukhrul district

In continuation to curb the spread of the surging Covid virus in Ukhrul District, the surveillance officer in Tuesday following persons of Ukhrul District who tested Covid-19 positive, in view of the impending threat in the area, the District Magistrate has declared immediate containment measures in the area to prevent further spread of the disease, ordering for immediate sealing of the house/ compound, barred entry and exit of the population from the containment area, and had asked to initiate active surveillance of Covid – 19 cases.

The District Magistrate in exercise of the power conferred under Para 12 of “The Manipur Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020” declared the following containment measures in the geographical area mentioned in the schedule below with immediate effect:

Resident of Dr K Aluisung H/o K Rita, Wino Bazaar

Resident of Shimreishang Khangrah H/o Wonchui, Hamleikhong – C Block.

Resident of Ngacham Kasomwoshi S/o Lt Ngaraipam, Greenland.

Resident of Leiyapam Shaiza S/o Zingshopam, Greenland.

Resident of Sopem Vasha W/o Newlanso, Viewland zone I and convenient store Viewland zone I.

Any person, institution and organisation found violating any of these measures shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of Indian Penal Code and Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the orders issued by Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS further stated.
