9 new positive cases reported in Ukhrul District, 1 in Kamjong District; 3 residences declared containment zone

Ukhrul district reported nine Covid positive cases on Monday pushing the total active tally to 122, whereas Kamjong district reported one Covid positive case.

The district magistrate Ukhrul, Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS, revoked containment orders for three residences on Monday of Chuireiwon Keishing W/o M H Moon, Viewland zone I; Rented house of Bejoy Tamang, Phungreitang west; Residence of Shanghan Zingyo, Meizailung, Ukhrul.

Meanwhile, three residences were declared containment zone: Residence of H Horthingchon D/o H Moses, Kamphasom; Residence of Chuingamla Yangaya D/o Chinaongai Yangya, Kamphasom; Residence of Levis Kaping W/o Somaso Kaping, Alungtang. As part of its ongoing preventive measures it had also sealed, barred entry and exit and directed to initiate active surveillance of Covid-19 cases.

Any person, institution and organisation found violating any of these measures shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of Indian Penal Code and Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the orders issued by Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS further stated.
