91.16% COVID-19 recovery rate in Manipur

Manipur’s COVID-19 recovery rate has improved further with 141 patients being discharged after recovering from the viral infection against 83 fresh positive cases detected over the last 24 hours.

The recovery rate of the state stands at 91.16% on Tuesday. It was 90.92% on the previous day (Monday).

The daily COVID-19 status report of the state Health department also showed deaths of three patients due to COVID-19 related illness in the last 24 hours (till 4pm of December 15), taking the casualty tally of the state to 327.

Of the three deceased, one is a female of aged 50 years hailing from Bishnupur district, while the two males of 62 years and 53 years were from Imphal West and Imphal East districts respectively.

The overall COVID-19 positive case in the state rose to 27,293 on Tuesday with the detection of the 83 fresh cases. The overall tally included 24,880 recoveries and 2,085 active cases.

The 83 fresh cases were confirmed during testing of 2,380 samples. The fresh positive cases included four CAPF personnel. The overall samples tested so far in the state stood at 4,56,528 on Tuesday.
