9th NEIMUN Conference to Take Place in Dimapur This October

Dimapur, Aug 26: The NEIMUN Foundation has announced the upcoming 9th North East India International Model United Nations (NEIMUN) conference, scheduled for October 18th to 20th, 2024, at the Don Bosco Institute of Development and Learning in Dimapur, Nagaland.

As per the organisers, this year’s NEIMUN conference will continue its commitment to empowering young leaders from Northeast India by focusing on crucial global issues. “We are dedicated to addressing pressing challenges such as drug trafficking, the small arms trade, poverty, and the climate crisis,” said the organisers. “Our discussions will also revolve around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security.”

Further, they also informed that the conference is open to students currently enrolled in higher secondary, undergraduate, or postgraduate programs, as well as young professionals from Northeast India and beyond. “By involving a diverse group of participants, we aim to generate innovative solutions and foster meaningful dialogue. We encourage everyone to join us in these essential conversations”, added the organisers.“

The NEIMUN Foundation seeks the community’s support in spreading the word about this important event. “It is crucial to raise awareness and encourage participation ahead of the conference,” said the organisers. “We also welcome media coverage during the event to highlight the impactful discussions and contributions of the participants.”
