Three Myanmar nationals allegedly wounded in raids by the army of that country are hospitalised in hospitals in Imphal on Friday.
Reports said that following the late night raids against anti-junta by the Tadmadaw, security forces and police on Indian side have beefed up security measures along the Indo-Myanmar borderline in Moreh sector in Manipur.
Police as well as local sources said that one was killed and seven others were wounded after the Myanmar army fired rubber bullets and live bullets indiscriminately towards the people who came out on the streets to protest against the raids to hunt down anti-junta in Tamu bordering Manipur on Thursday night. Of the seven, three of them who sustained serious bullet injuries were rushed to a government hospital at Moreh late Thursday night. They were shifted to hospitals in Imphal after administering first aids there, reports said.
Police in the border town shifted them to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal for further medical treatment. The condition of one of them was stated to be critical and he has been shifted to Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal.
