14 Tribal Hohos of Nagaland have said that all the factions (NPGs) should willingly come to the negotiating table just as the government of Nagaland have joined hands to pave the way for early Naga solution. The press release of Friday stated in doing so was the desire of all the Naga societies.

The latest from the 14 Tribal Hohos of Nagaland expressed appreciation on the agreement signed between the NPGs. “Nagas have struggled for more than seven decades and during these period of struggle, thousands of people had died, many were imprisoned and almost all Naga villages were burnt down to ashes but still Nagas did not lose hope”, it said.

The release furthermore underscored that the agreement will cover the Nagas in Manipur, Arunachal and Nagas in Assam, despite having “told by the then interlocutor, R N Ravi that integration and independence is not to be considered”, the release maintained.

It further pointed out that the initiatives taken by NSCN-IM and thereafter, 7 NNPGs after many years of attempts to hold peace talk should now pave way for unity and come to the negotiating table for peaceful settlement.

The release also stated that unity is the ‘call of duty’, as the 14 Tribal Hohos of Nagaland underlined that further split of differences must not take place among the factions. It further warned that no new group or new factions will be allowed to function in its jurisdiction.
