New DC Tamenglong Chairs DLOs meeting, Prepares for 2022 Polls

Tamenglong: In view for the upcoming Manipur polls 2022, the new deputy commissioner of Tamenglong, Hungyo Worshang, IAS, chaired the first District Level Officer’s meeting at SDO Conference hall Tamenglong headquarter.

During the meeting District Election Officer (DC Tamenglong) instructed the police department of Tamenglong to start preparing on how to deploy and for allotting the police and central paramilitary forces at the various polling stations.

The deputy commissioner also instructed the PWD department of Tamenglong to look into the road conditions of interior parts of Tamenglong district to motorable conditions before the polls.

As the polls is going to be held during the water scarcity season the DC also instructed the PHED department of Tamenglong to arrange water supply at the mini secretariat as most of the government officials as well as police personnel are going to be stationed in that area.

Depositing of arm license gun and arrangement of vehicles were discussed briefly during the meeting. The meeting also decided to issue an order to deposit air guns of the nearby villages as it is the season of Amur Falcons roosting sites.

With Covid situation still in an alarming rate and the paramilitary forces coming from different states of India, the Hungyo Worshang also instructed all the government officials and staffs to get vaccinated at the earliest.

Various government departments of Tamenglong district also made a brief progress report to the new DC of Tamenglong. Altogether 18 specific assignments for nodal officers were allocated for the upcoming election.
