Eastern Nagaland People’s Org resolves to extend non-cooperation to Indian security forces

The Indian Security Forces who are involved in the gruesome killings of 14 innocent public on December 4 and 5 in Mon district Nagaland should be booked under relevant law of the country and should be brought under Civil Court for trial.

The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) following the gruesome murder of innocent public in Mon district Nagaland by the Indian Security Force on December 4 and 5, held a joint meeting of all Eastern Nagaland civil societies on the call of ENPO at Longleng Town on December 14.

The following resolutions were unanimously adopted in the crucial joint consultative meeting.

  1. The public of Eastern Nagaland hereby resolved to EXTEND NON-CO-OPERATION TO THE INDIAN SECURITY FORCES until the following demands are fulfilled and justice is delivered to the victim’s families in particular and the people of Nagas in general.
    (i) The Indian Security Forces who are involved in the gruesome killings of 14 innocent public on December 4 and 5 in Mon district Nagaland should be booked under relevant law of the country and should be brought under Civil Court for trial.
    (ii) The very statement of Union Home Minister in the Indian Parliament, where he had stated that, the security forces fired in self defence should be withdrawn.
    (iii) The Government of India should revoke the draconian law, Arm Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958 from the entire North Eastern States.

Non co-operation as declared shall be in the following forms:-

(a)Abstain from any National celebrations, or such activities.

(b) Non-participation in Army civic programmes.
(c) Non-attendance to any of their official invitations.
(d) Not to allow any recruitment drive within Eastern Nagaland area.


2. Resolved to hold Public Rally in all the Tribal Head Quarters on December 16 in protest against the brutal murder of innocent public an injuring several others and demanding justice for the same.

3. Resolved to write to the State Govt. to immediately set up the Nagaland State Human Rights Commission (NSHRC).

4. Resolved to declare December 4 and 5 a BLACK-DAY in the entire ENPO jurisdiction.
