“NSCN is ready to go for unrestrained fury to give sleepless nights to the AR in Arunachal Pradesh if the mindless attack against NSCN goes on unabated under one pretext or the
other”-NSCN-IM.
The Isak-Muivah led National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) following the gunning down of two of its cadres by the Assam Rifles at Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district on March 20, have said, “enough is enough”.
Hebron press statement accused AR that the two cadres were gunned down deliberately despite knowing that they were not NSCN-K (YA) cadres.
The group, reminding the Nginu killing in July 2020 where six of its cadres were killed in a joint operation by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Arunachal Pradesh near Nginu in Longding district, demanded an answer from the Government of India on the status of Indo-Naga ceasefire in Arunachal Pradesh. NSCN-IM while criticizing AR sharply over its attitude towards the laid CFGRs rules, the signing of Indo-Naga ceasefire agreement in 1997, accused the reckless attitude of AR. It stated that AR is going “too aggressive to get the best of the Cease Fire Ground Rules (CFGRs) to suit its devilish design against NSCN which exercised a gentleman attitude all the way to honor the CFGRs”.

NSCN-IM further accused the State’s chief minister and his deputy chief minister for entering into a political conspiracy to erase the ethnic identity of the Nagas in Arunachal Pradesh. “NSCN shall leave no stone unturned not to allow any Naga MLAs/Ministers to walk away scot-free on charges of supporting anti-Naga socio-politico stand,” the statement added.
Pointing directly to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), GoI, the group made it vividly clear in the statement that it “shall waste no time to unbound itself from the shackle of the ceasefire ground rules it believes covers Arunachal Pradesh, if MHA thinks that there is no ceasefire in Arunachal Pradesh, let it be so,” NSCN-IM warned.
