Ukhrul, April 8: The Konsaram (Konsakhul) Village Authority has extended heartfelt gratitude to the Naga People Organisation (NPO), Senapati, for convening its Presidential Council at Konsaram on April 8, 2025. This momentous occasion reflects the NPO’s unwavering commitment to standing by the Nagas, offering support, and thoroughly assessing their current adversities.

Thanking the NPO team consisting of Mao Council, Poumai Naga Union (PNU), Maram Union (MU), Thangal Union (TU), and Zeliangrong Union, for their relentless dedication and heartfelt concern for the well-being of the Naga people, the village authority stated that the organisation’s steadfast presence and advocacy have been a beacon of hope and strength, providing much-needed solidarity during these trying times.

Further, the Konsakhul village body hoped that the NPO would continue to be a bulwark against aggression and the expansionist threat posed by external forces, especially the Kuki expansionist agenda.

“The people of Konsaram, with a unified spirit, will continue to lend their unwavering support to the NPO’s leadership in its noble pursuit of Naga unity and heritage preservation. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the NPO, confident that together, we will triumph over adversity and secure our God given ancestral land,” it said.

“Today, we find ourselves at a crossroads. One of our ancestral lands, Konsaram village, our God given inheritance, has been occupied, fragmented, and snatched away by outsiders who were once guests on our soil. What was once ours by right and origin is now under siege. We have watched, in silence and sorrow, as pieces of our history are erased and our people scattered. But this silence must now break. This sorrow must turn to strength. Every single drop of blood shed by the Konsaram people will never be forgotten, nor will it be in vain,” it added.

Additionally, the village body urged all indigenous peoples to act now lest they risk becoming strangers in their land. Urging them to unite as one people, the Konsakhul villagers call for reclaiming their land and dignity and restoring past glory for themselves, their children, and future generations.
