Imphal: A day after news of the plating of a deadly IED explosive on Saturday by one CRPF personnel, Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Monday said a probe has been ordered over the alleged planting of bomb by the security personnel at Puiluan village under Nungba sub-division, Tamenglong district, said a UNI report.
The chief minister was quoted saying in UNI report that an Addl DGP of Manipur will head the investigation, and assured of a fair trial.

Public in Tamenglong district on Saturday reportedly caught red handed a personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) accused of planting an Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) at an event set for Jadonang memorial site renovation at Puiluan village under Nungba sub-division.
The NSCN-IM group accused the Indian security forces over the incident and termed it “terrorism” plotted by 39th Assam Rifles (AR) posted at Nungba and the 87th Battalion of CRPF at Kambiron.
Civil bodies in Tamenglong district in a joint statement on Sunday, while appealing to all like minded CSOs and urging people to come forward to condemn such inhuman act for peaceful co-existence laid bare the direct continuous involvement of the Indian security forces in the act of terrorism against the innocent public, calling it a “serious and heinous crime.”
