Ukhrul: Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), the apex body of the Tangkhul Naga tribe in Manipur has said it is pained to see violence taking place under the jurisdiction of the Tangkhul in Ukhrul District of Manipur stating that the “Tangkhul area has been very peaceful since the “Manipur Unrest” that triggered on 3rd May 2023.”

While TNL strongly condemned the killing of three villagers of Thawai Kuki Village by unidentified miscreants, calling for restrain among the various communities, the Tangkhul Naga Long appealed for maintaining peace in Tangkhul area.

The Tangkhul Naga Long as already declared in May 2023 said the Tangkhul area would be a “Neutal Zone.”
“The TNL once again reiterates that Tangkhul area is a “Neutral Zone” and we will not tolerate violence to be committed or take place in our land,” TNL warned.
