Assam: Assam Rifles under Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a weapon and equipment display for National Cadet Corps in Masimpur Military Station on September 8, a press release said.

According to AR the event included display of weapons, equipment’s followed by a motivational lecture to educate the cadets about history of the Armed Forces and important role played by the Army & AR. The display was organised with a view to enlighten the cadets about the defence forces and to encourage them to join the Armed Forces.

“The display offered an opportunity for the NCC cadets to have first-hand experience of witnessing infantry weapons. The inquisitiveness and enthusiasm to see the weapons and equipment on the inventory of the army was evident during the conduct of event. The young aspirants were counselled and informed of various career opportunities in Army/AR,” added Assam Rifles.
