Guwahati: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat is arriving in the city on Friday with a five-day program in Assam. The scheduled tour ( 21 to 25 February 2024) is a part of tour (Prabas) undertaken by Dr Bhagwat as the RSS is celebrating the centenary year (1925 -2025). According to the schedule, Dr Bhagwat will reach Sudarshanalaya at Barbari locality of Guwahati directly from Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi airport in the afternoon hours.

During his Prabas, Dr Bhagwat will interact with the Karyakartas RSS and also a selected gathering where he will speak on five important issues towards social transformations, namely, social harmony, civic duties, environment protection, spirit of self good and values of ideal family (Kutumba Prabodhan). On 22 February, he will address a Rashtra Sevika Samiti meeting at IITG in north Guwahati. Next day, Dr Bhagwat will grace a Bouddhik program at South Point High School in Saukuchi locality where thousands of RSS volunteers are expected to be present.
Apart from these programs, the Sarsanghchalak will also attend a few meetings with RSS Pracharaks and other Sangh dignitaries in the city. Dr Bhagwat will leave Assam for Arunachal Pradesh on 26 February morning for the next phase of Prabas, informed Kishor Shivam, Prachar Pramukh of RSS’s Uttar Asom Pranta.
