Union home minister, Amit Shah’s two days visit to Manipur and poll bound Assam begins with his warm reception at Guwahati. He is scheduled to attend series of party meetings and likely meet leaders of regional parties and lay the foundations stones of several projects which includes a new medical college in Guwahati, Batadrava Than and distribution of financial grants of 8,000 Namghars (traditional Vaisnavite monastries) in Assam among others.
The senior BJP leader took to twitter after his arrival at Guwahati and said, he wholeheartedly thank the people of Assam for the warm welcome.
The Union minister after his visit to Guwahati, Assam will be inaugurating and laying various foundation stones of developmental projects on December 27 scheduled at 10:00 am at Hapta Kangjeibung, Imphal. He will be accompanied by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union minister of State for DoNER (Independent Charge).

The Union home minister will lay the foundation stones of Manipur Bhawan in Dwarka, New Delhi, Churachandpur Medical College, IIIT at Mayangkhang, Senapati, State Police Headquarters Building at Imphal, state government guest house “Shanglen” in the capital Imphal, IT-SEZ at Mantripukhri, Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) for Small City, Imphal.
He will also dedicate Bishnupur-Tupul-Thoubal-Kasom Khullen Road to general public, and inaugurate Thoubal Dam.
