Manipur’s Kshetrimayum Subadani Devi Wins Best Producer Award IFFBB 2025 For ‘Ashengba Eral’

Imphal, June 4: Manipur’s Kshetrimayum Subadani Devi has been honoured with the Best Producer Award for the Manipuri feature film ‘Ashengba Eral‘ at the International Film Festival Bay of Bengal (IFFBB) 2025 on Monday. The prestigious award was presented during a ceremony held at Sarat Sadan Auditorium in Howrah, West Bengal. The IFFBB 2025, organised by the Indian Film Maker Association, showcased films from 23 countries.

Produced under the banner of Dosuyali Film Production, ‘Ashengba Eral’ is based on a story penned by Subadani herself, who is also a noted short story writer. The film is directed by OC Meira with screenplay by Manaobi MM, and features performances by Avi Khundrakpam, Ithoi Oinam, Rashi, and Nongthanganbi.

The film has also previously earned critical acclaim, winning —Best Music Director, Best Female Singer, and Best Child Artiste at the 15th Manipur State Film Awards 2023; Best Feature Film (North East) and Best Director at the Prag Cine Awards 2023; Jury Mention Award at the 2nd NIRI International Film Festival 2023 in Kolkata and Best Editor and another Best Child Artiste award at SSS MANIFA 2023.
