Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan launched in Pherzawl, Churachandpur

Ukhrul, August 26: The district level Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, a flagship initiative under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India aimed to empower tribal communities through responsive governance and capacity-building, was launched in Pherzawl and Churachandpur on Tuesday.

In Pherzawl district, the District-Level Launch and Orientation meeting for the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan was held at the DC Office Conference Hall and was chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl Mannuamching.

During the launch programme, Deputy Commissioner Mannuamching outlined the vision and objectives of the Abhiyan. The DC maintained that the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a transformative mission aimed at empowering grassroots governance, strengthening last-mile service delivery and ensuring real-time grievance redressal in tribal regions.

Joel G Haokip, ADC and District Nodal Officer for Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan offered strategic insights into the district’s strategic road-map for effective implementation.

Haokip also highlighted that Pherzawl district has already completed nomination of District Master Trainers, Block Nodal Officers and Block Master Trainers for full-scale roll-out of the flagship programme.

Officials, including SDOs, DLOs and representatives from various line departments participated in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the District Administration, Churachandpur also organized the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, district level launching–cum-Orientation programme, at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall, Churachandpur.

Thangboi Gangte, ADC, Churachandpur highlighted the future prospects of the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan for the district and delivered a comprehensive presentation through PowerPoint, effectively outlining the initiative vision and objectives to the participants.

The main objective of the programme was to equip the participants with the knowledge and skill necessary to become effective change leaders under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, built on the pillars of convergence, community and capability.

An orientation programme will be held in future, targeting key stakeholders, community leaders, and government officials, to further disseminate the Aadi Karmayogi  Abhiyan’s  goals, strategies, and best practices, ensuring a wider reach and impact across the district, an official statement read.

The event was attended by SDOs, DLOs and officials from the government.  

The Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan initiative aims to impact over 1 lakh tribal-dominated villages, building a network of 20 lakh change leaders across 550 districts in 30 states and Union Territories.
