Accident claims two lives at Chingjaroi, Three injured

Chingjaroi Ngachaphung bound shaktimaan truck accident claimed two lives and injured three passengers in the northern part of Ukhrul district on Friday. 

The deceased have been identified as R. Kahaola, daughter of Lt. R. Khokham and T. Songayin, son of T. Yaorei. Both were residents of Chingjaroi Ngachaphung village.

The incident reportedly occured at around 4:30 pm.

According to reliable sources, Chingjaroi Ngachaphung bound sand laden, onboard around 30 passengers shaktimaan truck experienced brake failure and lost control as the truck slammed backward.

The deceased while jumping off from the truck to escape got hit by the speeding truck in the process.
