Actors Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tie the knot in traditional Meitei wedding ceremony at Imphal

Imphal: Bollywood actors Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram exchanged vows on Wednesday in an intimate Manipuri wedding ceremony in Imphal. The wedding was held at Chumthang Shannapung, Langthabal in Imphal West with attendance from close family members and friends of the couple.

Dressed in a complete Manipuri wedding attires, both Randeep and Lin looked stunning and elegant. The Highway and Extraction actor was attired in an all-white kurta and dhoti, with a koyet (headgear) as he eagerly awaited for his bride at the wedding venue. Meanwhile, Lin looked no less than a doll as she was decked up with a blouse, Innaphi and Potloi, a cylindrical skirt made up of thick fabric and ornamented with sequins and mirrors as she arrived at the venue. She completed her perfect wedding look with gorgeous gold jewellery.

The wedding ceremony was also graced by personalities from Manipuri film industry, including Soma Laishram, Kaiku Rajkumar and Gokul Athokpam. Folk music singer Mangka Mayanglambam was also seen attending the high-profile wedding.

Model, actress and businesswoman, Lin Laishram, 37, hails from Manipur. After completing her education in Mumbai, Lin studied acting in New York, USA.

She was also the brand ambassador of New York based jewellery brand, Ozoru Jewelry. In 2018, she represented Manipur at the Miss North and was placed the first runner-up title in Shillong. 

Lin debuted her acting career in Om Shanti Om film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. In 2014, she played the character of Bembem in the 2014 national award winning film Mary Komalongside Priyanka Chopra and directed by Omung Kumar. Lin has become a prominent figure from the northeast region in the industry.

Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda, who is ten years older to Lin, made his debut to Bollywood with Monsoon Wedding.Since then, the actor has given some spectacular and powerful films like Once Upon a Time in Mumbai(2010), Highway(2014) and Sarbjit(2016). Randeep will also be seen in the film Swatantra VeerSavarkar, a biopic of a freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
