Advisory issued to Manipur legislators

In the backdrop of the fast rising cases of COVID-19 in Manipur, the chief minister’s secretariat on Sunday issued an advisory to all cabinet ministers, legislators and government functionaries to refrain from organising, participating in or promoting that create or attract public gathering of any size.

The chief minister’s secretariat issued the advisory after chief minister N Biren Singh reviewed the COVID-19 situation of the state in a meeting of State Consultative Committee for COVID-19 at chief minister’s secretariat.

“All cabinet ministers, legislators and government functionaries are asked to refrain from organising, participating in or promoting, in any manner whatsoever, events or functions by whatever name it may be called, which will create or attract or likely to create or attract public gathering of any size,” the advisory said.
