Airport Authority of India and CCI Sign MoU to Build 18 Classrooms for PWD in Churachandpur

Churachandpur, August 18: The Centre for Community Initiative (CCI), the main center for PWD in Churachandpur District under its The Malsawm Initiative, and the Airport Authority of India today signed an agreement (MoU) to construct 18 classrooms at TMI which will house classrooms for Persons With Disabilities (PWD).

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by AAI Airport Director, Mr. Chipemmi Keishing, and Director of CCI, Mr. Pauzagin Tonsing, in the presence of the DC of Churachandpur District, Mr. Dharun Kumar, IAS. The signing took place at the DC’s Conference Hall at Mini Secretariat located at Tuibong, Churachandpur.

The MoU mentions that the construction of the classrooms, which will enhance the capability of CCI, will be undertaken by Tunnu Engineering & Consultancy, whose director presented the plan of the building for PWD. This will be an initiative of AAI under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In the afternoon, officials from AAI visited the Centre located at Pearsonmun, where they were warmly welcomed by PWD students. The differently abled students presented various shows, performances, and gifts made by them to the AAI officials at the Malsawm Ability Resource Centre.
