Imphal, 11th June, 2020(DIPR):- Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri L. Jayantakumar Singh handed over two ambulances for Kamjong and Noney Districts today. Speaking at the occasion held at Medical Directorate, Lamphelpat, Imphal, Shri Jayantakumar said that two ambulances have been procured on Public Private Partnership, PPP model. MOU has been signed between Health Department and Medilane. These ambulances will be used especially for transportation of covid related patients and suspects. All expenditure in this regard will be borne by the State Government, he added.

Minister said that the increasing need of transport vehicles for those who come from outside the state during this pandemic juncture is understood by State Government. The Government has already processed to procure transport vehicles from manufacturing companies. But due to the existing lockdown manufacturing company is facing problem to deliver the transport vehicles, he added.

He said that transport vehicles have also been given to other districts also on priority basis. Minister Jayantakumar also appealed the public to stay calm during this pandemic juncture as the Government is putting all efforts to provide the necessities of the people and also to control the pandemic.

The occasion was also attended by MLA, Shri K. Leishio and MLA, Shri S. Subhaschandra Singh, Director, Health Services Dr. K. Rajo Singh and officials and health staffs.
