UKHRUL: The All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association (AMSTA) has extended its best wishes to 12 Manipuri sepaktakraw players and coach P. Durjit, who are part of the Indian contingent for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan.
The Asian Games are scheduled to begin on September 19 and continue until October 4.
AMSTA said it was particularly proud of the participation of 12 sepaktakraw players from Manipur in the Indian contingent, describing their presence at the continental sporting event as a significant moment for the state’s sepaktakraw community.
The five Manipuri players in the men’s contingent are Y. Akash, S. Malemnganba, W. Henary, M. Ashok and E. Lokhon. The women’s contingent includes A. Maipak, O. Chaoba, E. Priya, E. Leirentombi, E. Shilpa, L. Prity and Y. Malemnganbi.
AMSTA General Secretary Ch. Geskant conveyed his wishes to the players, coach and other members of the Indian Sepaktakraw contingent, expressing hope for their success at the Asian Games.

He also extended his best wishes to athletes from Manipur competing in other sporting disciplines at the continental event.
According to AMSTA, the Indian Sepaktakraw contingent consists of 21 athletes, including 12 men and nine women, along with four coaches. India is sending 503 athletes, comprising 269 men and 234 women, to the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where they will compete across 36 sports and disciplines.
