The Naga student body said it is against any act that targets the lives of innocent people. “We vehemently condemn the act of planting and triggering such a bomb blast in the heart of Ukhrul town on January 25, 2023 where four innocent civilians were seriously injured. The ANSAM also said it was deeply saddened and concerned by such repeated inhuman acts of targeting innocent people that cannot be justified in any way.

“How can anyone justify their motive, interest, objectives etc. by orchestrating acts that could hurt innocent civilians?” the ANSAM question. It added that hurting innocent lives can never gratify oneself.

The ANSAM demanded the “concerned authority” to act with all seriousness to check such acts from being repeated. Also, the Naga student body said that all the victims must be given necessary treatments with all expenses taken care of by the government and befitting compensations for “mental trauma inflicted to the victims and their family members as acceptance of part responsibility for failing to check such heinous acts as a custodian of law and order.”
