Arms and Ammunition Seized in Churachandpur

CHURACHANDPUR: A joint team of the Churachandpur Police and 2 JAK LI on Thursday seized arms and ammunition from Thinghijang village in Churachandpur district, Manipur, police said. 

As per the police, search operations were conducted in the forest of Thinghijang village from 6 pm to 8 pm by the combined team based on credible input. During the operation, the team recovered and seized arms and ammunition, including one AK 47 ( chinese made) with magazine, three single barrel, one bolt action single barrel, one bolt action sniper rifle with scope, seven 7.62mm fired case and two SLR magazines.

The seized items were handed over to Churachandpur Police Station for further necessary action, it stated.
