ASER survey 2022 Dist level training of Ukhrul & Kamjong to conclude today organised by Pratham – ASER centre & RREA

Kamjong: The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2022, District level training for Kamjong and Ukhrul District of Manipur started today in Kamjong District Headquarter at the office of Recognize Rise And Empower Association. The ASER 2022 Survey of Ukhrul and Kamjong District will be jointly conducted through a joint collaboration between volunteers of Recognize Rise And Empower Association  and Pratham.

The training is led by the State team Keisham Kishan Singh, ASER Associate and Birla Sharma  while Woryar Bungpadang of RREA leads as the Master Trainor for the District Team.

ASER 2022 survey will commit to measure the learning outcomes after a 4 years gap, to assess the learning loss during the pandemic, to track the implementation of National Education Policy, to understand Education Cess of 2 %, to act as a source of comparable data over time and to provide vital policy input.

They will conduct household surveys and to assess all the children between 3-16 age group on their foundation learning level- basic arithmetic, reading and English reading etc.

The training which began from September 14 will end on September 16, 2022 where there will also be pilot survey in two villages before the survey starts in 30 villages of the two Districts.

The survey is taken in lines of the 2011 census. RREA said it hopes to understand better the ground realities before initiating more education led projects in the region.
