Assam Rifles Commemorates 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, July 26: The Assam Rifles celebrated the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas at Apollo Ground in Tamenglong district, Manipur, on July 26, 2024. The event featured an exhibition and a documentary screening to honor the brave soldiers who fought in the Kargil War.

The exhibition showcased a chronological collection of significant events from the Kargil War, including rare images and illustrations. The documentary revisited the heroic actions and sacrifices of the soldiers during the conflict. Over 500 students from seven schools across Tamenglong district attended the event, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the soldiers’ bravery and sacrifice.

The commemorative events displayed the legacy of the Kargil War heroes, reinforcing values of courage, unity, and patriotism among the youth. Kargil Vijay Diwas serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by the soldiers and a celebration of their valor, fostering national pride and gratitude, a press release from Assam Rifles said.
