Mon: The Assam Rifles distributed 216 Solar Lights as part of “Illuminate lives for a brighter future” Campaign in collaboration with Sunbird Trust and Schneider Electric at Nyasa Village, Mon, Nagaland on Tuesday.

Nyasa is an isolated village along India – Myanmar Border with erratic electricity supply.

A total of 216 houses which are deprived of continuous electric supply were presented with Solar lights. The solar lights were distributed with an aim to also assist the young minds to continue their studies despite frequents cuts in electricity supply, said a press release issued by AR.

The Assam Rifles added that the locals of Nyasa Village expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles and Sunbird Trust for bringing light into their lives which could be seen in their smiling and happy faces.
