Assam Rifles Felicitates 10 Female Cabin Crew Aspirants Trained Under Operation Sadbhavana

Ukhrul: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of IGAR(S), felicitated 10 female aspirants who successfully underwent cabin crew training sponsored as part of Operation Sadbhavana. The candidates had undergone 45 days of cabin crew coaching and training at Imphal-based Wahong Academy.

In collaboration with Wahong Academy, the cabin crew training partner, and Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL), the youth organization in Ukhrul, Assam Rifles facilitated a pre-selection interview platform for 50 female aspirants opting for a career as cabin crew in domestic and international flights in December 2023. The 10 selected aspirants were afforded coaching and on-the-job training under the mentorship of Wahong Academy for 45 days from December 15, 2023, to January 31, 2024. The training aimed to encourage women’s empowerment in the district and provide a long-term avenue of employment.

During a felicitation ceremony held on Friday, Assam Rifles handed over qualification certificates to the 10 candidates who successfully completed the course. Assam Rifles extended their gratitude to TMNL Executives and Wahong Academy for ensuring the successful conduct of coaching and training.

Wahong Academy and Assam Rifles remain committed to continued coaching to empower women. Graduates from any background are welcome to approach for interviews related to skill training programs. Special preference would be given to candidates who attended pre-selection interviews. The institute offered the entire training package with hostel facilities with a considerable concession in training fees.
