KOHIMA, SEP 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland commemorated the one-year anniversary of Benjamin Yepthomi as the State President on September 25, 2024. The party in a press release stated that Yepthomi has made significant strides in connecting with the grassroots, touring all districts and covering 30 Assembly Constituencies, including the 20 Mandals of Eastern Nagaland. This achievement marks him as the first State BJP President to undertake such an extensive outreach.

On September 12, 2024, during his visit to the 52 A/C Longkhim Chare Assembly Constituency, the party welcomed former RPI candidate Sethrichem Sangtam into its fold. Sangtam, who is also the founder and Managing Director of the Better Life Foundation Nagaland and a recipient of the first Dr. Rohini Nayyar award in 2022, joined the BJP with the support of thousands of his followers.
