Blood Donation Camp Marks CRPF Valour Day in Imphal

UKHRUL: The 143 Bn, CRPF deployed at Lamphelpat, Imphal on Thursday organised a blood donation camp at the Unit Hospital to mark Valour day. 

As many as 30 personnel of the unit donated blood during the camp organised in coordination with and supervision of the Medical team of RIMS, Imphal, the CRPF said in a statement.

Valour day is celebrated to keep alive the memories of gallant action of the personnel of 2nd Bn CRPF on April 9, 1965 at Sardar & Tak Posts in Rann of Kutch Gujarat. 

On this occasion Omnath Chattaraj, 2 1/C, Commandant-l43 Bn (CCD) paid homage to the martyrs and addressed CRPF officers & men and emphasized significance of the day. A Sankalp (Pledge) was also administered to all ranks, it stated.

An inter coy football match was also organized followed by Barakhana in the evening at all messes of the unit, it added.
