According to source in Dimapur, the commercial hub of Nagaland, a bomb blast occurred in Scavengers warehouse claiming two casualty, reportedly a father and a son, and three critically injured in the incident on Tuesday noon.

This news has been updated with inputs from Dimapur police reporting the accidental blast left one dead and four injured, the police said.

The bomb blast occurred in UNB Colony. Preliminary investigation reveals that an iron scrap worker was pounding a suspected vintage bomb with hammer, when it went off, Dimapur police reported.
